What can a horse trainer compete in at a horse show?
Q. Does anyone know of a website that lists the classes that a horse instructor/trainer can ride in at horse shows? I know that trainers can only ride in certain classes because they are at a higher level than other riders and it deems it "unfair" and "unfit" for a trainer to compete in a class against riders that are on the same level as their students. I'm trying to find out a definite as to what classes a trainer is allowed to ride in without causing problems. Thanks!

A. It depends on what circuit you're showing in. For example, in the AQHA and APHA circuits, the trainers can NOT show in Novice or Amateur, or Select Amateur. They have to show in OPEN or in the Junior/Senior classes. Novice is for people that don't have a certain number of points and don't train, Amateur is for everybody else who doesn't train but has more points than the Novice Riders. Open is "open" to anybody and is where the trainers compete. I hope this helps clear stuff up a little bit. If you show on a breed circuit, the rules will be in their handbook. What is the difference between a Student Athletic Trainer and Team Manager?
Q. This Wednesday starts spring football training, and I am going to get a feel of being a Student Athletic Trainer, would someone mind telling me how a Student Athletic Trainer is different than a Team Manager? If you could tell me what a Student Athletic Trainer does as well, that would be awesome. Thanks

A. Trainer deals with injuries. Team Manager deals with stats, uniforms, etc.

How do i find an excellent personal trainer?
Q. I am looking for a personal trainer, but want to find someone who is certified, professional training, knowledgable. Is there an organization or way to help with this search.

A. I found a great personal trainer through 24 hours. When you go in and sign up for the sessions they will run a number of tests to see how fast your metabolism is running, which will tell them the calories you burn while resting. After they get that info they will test to see how good your posture is and will try to improve on that first so you don't hurt yourself while working out. They will plan an "ideal diet", one that you will be able to stay on and still lose weight and they will plan workout sessions to get the results that you want and keep you interested. I think 24 hours has the best trainers and are better priced then most trainers. It breaks down to be about 50 bucks a session and you buy the sessions in blocks. If you don' [cont.]
