An example where a complex solution was sought but unnecessary?
Q. I need a science example where those involved immediately thought that an entirely new 'concept' had to be thought up when an existing one was the key to solving the 'problem'. Basically, where complexity was sought but simplicity better suited.

A. How about all the astronomers trying to figure out how all the planets and sun orbited around the earth because religion dictated it must be so? You may want to Google: Occam's razor Relevant quotes: Albert Einstein: "everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler." Leonardo Da Vinci: "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication" Antoine de Saint Exupery: "It seems that perfection is reached not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away".

Do children still play "Hide and Go Seek"?
Q. For some reason, the Mexican kids next door aren't in school today, and they're in their backyard playing some game that apparently involves running around screeching like banshees. This got me to thinking, and I realized that in my 27 years of adulthood and about eight homes I've lived in, I've never overheard neighborhood children playing "Hide and Go Seek." Do children nowadays ONLY play video games and bizarre banshee-shrieking activities? And if so, why do you think there's no simplicity and/or creativity in childhood playtime anymore?

You mean so much to me, Though you will never know, The feelings that I have for you, The ones I'll never show. I fear that you'll laugh at me, I fear that I will cry. I fear that you won't like me back, And once I tell you I'll die. My heart will bleed like an open wound, And my soul will fly high. My heart will become hidden inside, For that I must continue to lie. You'll never see the feeling, locked deep inside my heart. I guess I'll keep it in me, Until I fall apart. at do you think

Poem: Just A Body (Contaminate Me)?
Q. Contaminate me, Contaminate me, you whore. Contaminate me, contaminate me some more. Am I the only one? Am I the only one? Am I the only one? No, I'm not the only one. Seduce me, do it and do it some more. Reduce me, Contaminate me, you whore. Am I the only one? Am I the only one? Am I the only one? No, I'm not the only one. When I'm feeling naughty, I'll I need is just a body. Such a common paraphilia, only one step above necrophilia. With fallen integrity, All I seek is simplicity. As for my repentance, All I desire is acceptance. Contaminate me, Contaminate me, you whore. Contaminate me, contaminate me some more. Am I the only one? Am I the only one? Am I the only one? No, I'm not the only one. Contaminate me! Contaminate me!… [cont.]

I need help with interpreting these poems. :((?
Q. Talismans sitting on the beach, you ask: what is wholeness? The ocean splinters - crest, Spray, burst of rock salt, But even such geometrics, Pure shards of stilled light, Can easily dissolve again With one stroke of wave. Each grain of sand, hollowed From a rock, crumbles further. In the swathing blue, and Drying in a hot breeze, Forms the grit to prick The dazed reckoning eye. Flinging back your own Question, the sea makes Certain that you know: A moment's passage Bedes the mild estruction No naming can alter. But now and again you May chance upon a wave Nudging out of a cliff's Ancient flank a smooth Bluish pebble, fish-fin Marked on whine stone, Stark pause chambered In a mauve cone shell. Perhaps then you may cup Some answers… [cont.]

A. Hmm, these are not the easiest (and your typos don't help) but maybe I can at least give you a start: Both poems are largely about the ocean, for one thing. Both are about the dichotomy of "unshaped and shaping" that the second poem mentions in its last line. The first poem talks about how looking at the ocean, one gets a sense of constant destruction. Waves shatter against the shore. The sand is made of crumbled rock and crumbles further to grit that, as it "pricks the dazed reckoning eye" that is looking at the beach and thinking these thoughts, brings home the message that everything is crumbling. But just when you begin to have these thoughts, the sea may wash up some fossil that sends the opposite message: one of preservation. The… [cont.]

Why did Saint.Sergius do this?
Q. "After the repose of his parents, in 1334 the 20-year-old youth went into the deep forest, about 45 miles northeast of Moscow, to seek spiritual solitude as in a desert. He lived a very austere ascetic life, marked by extreme poverty, hard physical labor, and profound humility and simplicity. After a few years of solitude in the forest, disciples started to gather around him, and Russia wasforever changed" I don't understand why he went out on his own to live as a hermit. Most people cry for their dead ones and say: the God took him away, why then do they cry?
Q. They say God gives and God takes. He is now with the Lord. The Lord has called him. So why do they cry!! As it is in Italy now. Our simplicity of thoughts has made us fail to seek better measures of survival in a World in motion. Yet most say God meaning a "loving Creator" took him away. Wouldn't be his wish to see you die of old instead! People do not feel bad about the question, it is one of analysis to human reasoning. I might cry, and I also used to say God took him away, until I understood that death is a matter of given conditions. The Loving Creator does not want anyone to die, but mother nature makes space for next generations as we multiply without a common goal of survival. The loved one is already dead, whether you believe in an afterlife or not really doesn't matter. But, if you believe they went to heaven and are absolutely sure of it, you should be happy for them. But, again, you cry for purely selfish reasons. The dead are gone, whether just out of existence or in heaven or where-ever. You cry because you are going to miss them. You cry because you think of all their life meant for YOU and how you're life will change without them. You cry because your heart is broken over the fact that you will never see them again. Etc, etc. Do you see what I mean? You cry for you because crying is a way of… [cont.]

Q. The holy, evangelical and divine Gospel of Salvation should be set forth by all in its original simplicity, and should evermore be believed in its unadulterated purity, even the same as it was revealed to His holy Apostles by our Savior, who for this very cause, descending from the bosom of God the Father, made Himself of no reputation and took upon Him the form of a servant (Phil. ii. 7); even the same, also, as those Apostles, who were ear and eye witnesses, sounded it forth, like clear-toned trumpets, to all that are under the sun (for their sound is gone out into all lands, and their words into the ends of the world); and, last of all, the very same as the many great and glorious Fathers of the Catholic Church in all parts of the earth, [cont.]
