The concept of personhood (who is a person within a society) is the fundamental component of any selective concept of people. A distinction is maintained in philosophy and law between the notions "human being", or "man", and "person". The former refers to the species, while the latter refers to a rational agent (see, for example, John Locke's Essay concerning Human Understanding II 27 and Immanuel Kant's Introduction to the Metaphysic of Morals). Central issues of interest to people are the understanding of the human condition and the meaning of life, and survival. Religion, philosophy, and science show or represent modes and aspects of inquiry which attempt to investigate and understand the nature, behavior, and purpose of people. Sociology, economics, and politics represent modes by which people investigate how to maximize a collective survival strategy. Islam recognizes the People of the Book as members of monotheistic faiths founded upon revelation related to its own faith. By contrast, in Judaism, the Jews are often said to be the chosen people, a concept modified by the Christian doctrine of the Elect. From Wikipedia under the

A very good friend of mine, who took great care of himself had picked up Pancreatic Cancer. He lasted only a few months. I do not have an answer, except that in spite of what we do, we can't control the hidden destiny. Smokers can live to old age, and the good die young. Another friend of mine was diagnosed with cancer and given just days to live. 25 years later, he is totally cured. He has a very unusual look at life today. Q. Some people can have very low amounts of interaction with other people, and still feel comfortable around them. On the other hand, some people need to be in constant/moderate interaction to be comfortable around people. Asked by movin2thabeeet - Thu May 24 22:28:38 2007 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. Check out either "Please Understand Me" or the Meyers Briggs work on personality. (Books or online) Extroverts are those who replenish themselves by being with others, love parties, drop in friends etc. Introverts recharge by alone time. They need to have personal space, few intrusions and usually hate parties, chit chat, and have maybe one or two best friends. They prefer serious discussions about ideas, concepts etc. To most extroverts, a stranger is just a friend they haven't met yet. "Please Understand Me II" breaks things down into 16 combinations and what professions are good matches for each one. They seem pretty accurate to me.
